Elena Kazan is a German-Russian actress, who was born in Moscow, Russia to German parents.

At the age of 16, she moved to the US for higher studies. She later went to India to work with a volunteer organization in Kolkata and there she taught the German language at Max Mueller Bhavan.

She travelled widely in India for three years and learned to speak Hindi fluently. She had worked in Kolkata with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce as an interpreter.

She started her acting career with the 2010 Bengali film ‘Clerk’ opposite Prosenjit Chatterjee. She was also seen in the Bollywood film Agent Vinod, alongside Saif Ali Khan & Kareena Kapoor Khan.
